FAQ

1. What type of wax do you use in your candles?
-
Eco-Friendly: Soy and coconut wax
-
No GMOs: Some soy wax is made from genetically modified soybeans, which can be a concern for those who prefer to avoid GMOs. My soy and coconut wax blend is made from non-GMO sources.
-
Cleaner Burning: Soy and coconut wax burn more cleanly than mineral wax, producing less soot and smoke. This means they are better for the environment and for your health, as they release fewer harmful chemicals into the air.
-
Better Scent Throw: Soy and coconut wax has a better scent throw than soy wax alone, meaning they are able to release more fragrance into the air. This is because they have a lower melting point, which allows them to release fragrance oils more effectively.

2. Are your candles made with essential oils or fragrance oils?
-
High-quality industry fragrance oils
-
Fragrance oils are formulated to provide consistent scent quality, ensuring that each candle has a reliable and predictable fragrance.
-
Fragrance oils are designed to provide a strong and long-lasting scent throw when used in candles, ensuring that the fragrance fills the room and provides an enjoyable sensory experience.
-
Using fragrance oils instead of natural ingredients like essential oils helps ensure consistent production from batch to batch.

3. What is the burn time of your candles?
-
Typically, a 250g candle can burn for approximately 35-40 hours.
-
The environment in which the candle is burned can also affect its burn time. Burning a candle in a drafty or windy area may cause it to burn more quickly, while burning it in a still and controlled environment may extend its burn time.

4. How do I care for my candle to ensure maximum burn time?
-
Trim the wick: The wick of the candle should be trimmed to 1/4 inch before each burn. This helps to ensure that the candle burns evenly and reduces the likelihood of soot or smoke.
-
Allow the candle to burn for several hours: The first time you light your candle, allow it to burn for approx 4 hours. This will help to prevent tunneling and ensure that the candle burns evenly.
-
Avoid burning the candle for too long: While it's tempting to leave your candle burning all day and night, this can actually reduce its burn time. Most candles should be burned for no more than 4 hours at a time.
-
Keep the candle away from drafts: Drafts can cause the candle to burn unevenly and reduce its overall burn time. Keep the candle away from open windows, doors, or other sources of airflow.
-
Use a candle snuffer: Blowing out a candle can cause the wax to splatter and reduce the burn time of the candle. Instead, use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame.
-
By following these tips, you can help to maximize the burn time of your candle and enjoy its fragrance and ambiance for as long as possible.

5. How do I know when it's time to replace my candle?
-
It's important to leave a small amount of wax at the end of a candle to ensure safe and efficient burning. Stop burning the candle when there is approximately 1/2 inch of wax left in the container.
-
When the wax level gets too low, the flame can come into contact with the sides of the container, which can cause the glass to crack or shatter. Additionally, burning the candle to the very end can cause the wick to become too short, making it difficult to light the candle in the future.
